The Founder

I built this because I had to.

Most diabetes apps are built by people who read about the disease in a market report. Ahead was built by someone who has lived it since he was six years old.

I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age six. That's over two decades of glucose checks, carb counting, insulin calculations, and waking up at 3 AM to correct what my body can't do on its own. I know what a real low feels like from the inside. I know what it costs when the data exists but the tools don't do anything useful with it.

I'm not an academic researcher. I didn't go to medical school for this. I taught myself to code because I needed something that didn't exist — a glucose companion built by someone who actually lives this disease, not someone who read a spec sheet about it.

Every alert threshold, every trend detection logic, every report layout in Ahead was designed around real decisions a real T1D person has to make. Because I make those decisions every single day. That's not something you can replicate from the outside.

Ahead is what I wished existed when I was first figuring this out alone. Now I'm building it for everyone who's still figuring it out.
